I’ve wanted to start writing for a while, but I couldn’t decide on a niche that I wouldn’t get bored of in a month. This piece has inspired me to write what I want and to not care about selecting the thoughts and ideas that fit in that mould. Thank you!
YES!! Just write whatever feels fun to you—anything you’re curious about! If you look through my posts, there’s definitely a throughline (systems thinking) but the topics are allllll over the place. I hope you find your way :)
This was very encouraging to read and honestly just what I needed to keep going and being my authentic self. Thank you for your transparency and dedication to your work!
What I find the most magical about publishing online (even when no one is clapping) is when you read your stuff again and you realize ‘ok, this is GOOD’ and you find all those links between what you are currently writing and what you wrote and everything starts to make sense. It’s really like building something significant that helps you ascend to better thinking.
That's the best! Ironically, I just published a piece about 10 minutes ago that's the opposite of what you're describing lol when you look back at some of your work or your old thoughts/beliefs and CRINGE... how that's ultimately a sign of growth. But you're making me wish I'd included this as a caveat bc you're so right. You can only connect more dots if you've laid a few down to begin with. It's fun to see your ideas come full circle.
Thanks for writing this, it clarifies a lot, as your journey clearly shows, how consistent, dedicated effort is truly the most crucial element for cultviating a genuine audience and achieving meaningful impact online.
I love your writing! You inspire me. I'm just starting out writing on Substack, and what you said here - "You find your voice by using it" seriously resonated with me. It's taken me a long time to build the courage to share my writing publicly and just publishing the first essay was such a bold feat for me, but I keep coming back to your posts and they always encourage and inspire me to just keep doing. Thank you thank you thank you!! <3
I love this Stephanie! I really enjoy your work, you’re one of the few whose next essays I look out for. If you have the time, do have a read of my work, it might seem niche or foreign, but if you read it in order, I think you’ll enjoy it. Would love to hear your feedback. I’ve been on Substack for nearly 2 months and have posted 12 or 13 essays so far. Do keep writing! 🩷
I just wanted to say thank you, truly! Reading your work has been such an anchor for me lately. I’ve always loved writing, but for a long time I didn’t have the courage to share anything. I think I was afraid of turning something so intimate into performance, especially on social media where everything feels like a show.
Your words reminded me that writing can still be sacred... a space to make sense of life, to slow down, to connect. Because of you, I finally found the courage to start my own Substack. It’s small and new, but it already feels like home.
Writing has always been how I understand myself and this strange, beautiful chaos we live in. And seeing how openly you share your inner world, how you make depth and honesty feel safe again, has inspired me to do the same.
Congratulations on reaching 10k subscribers. It’s such a reflection of the heart and truth you pour into your hard work. You’ve touched more people than you probably realise, and ’m one of them.
Thank you for leading with your soul. I’m truly grateful you exist and that your words found their way to me.
We love what you are doing. 🫶 And yes to showing up consistently, no matter the (internal) weather!
I'm so grateful for you, genuinely. Thanks for the support and encouragement, Anya!
I really like your writing. Keep on writing. Ignore the haters, the enviers, and the naysayers.
Thanks so much, I appreciate you reading with me :)

Thanks, Daniel. Yes! Above all else, you've got to keep going. Nothing will land if you never hit 'publish' 😊
Congrats!! 🍾
Thanks so much, Lyn! 🤍
Congrats Stepfanie - love your writing! (and the rebrand 😀)
Thank you so much for this piece! I felt like I needed to encounter this to unlock my own creativity with more patience, compassion, and consistency.

"Your lens is the niche." Love this!
First piece I’ve read from you - won’t be the last!
I witnessed you growing here and it's so inspiring! Thank you for the tips 🫶🏼
